Being a member of the Italian cultural institute “Società Dante Alighieri” in Salzburg, she increased interest in the collaboration of various artistic forms with special attention for the binomial music - literature recently. This particular interest led her to conceive three CD productions, two of those dealing with pieces from the romantic period : one concerns piano and vocal pieces from F. Liszt's Annèe de Pelerinage - Italie (II Book) and the literary-pictorial medieval and Renaissance works which were the original inspiration sources for the musical compositions (www.dante-salzburg.com; www.classicconcert.com);
the second includes piano-solo and chamber-music pieces by J. Brahms and the German literature of his time (www.extraplatte.com). Both productions are to be found also through the Internet at Amazon.de
The most recent CD, concerns the musical and literary repertoire from the end of the 17th century to the beginning of the 19th century following the path already started from the artist with the two prior releases. The musical panorama presents composers such as
D. Scarlatti, D. Cimarosa , M. Clementi, W.A. Mozart, whose pieces are all connected to italian operas of G. Paisiello, A. Salieri and G. Sarti. (www.preiserrecords.at)
As a former student of the internationally-acclaimed pianist Joaquin Achucarro, she also dedicated particular attention to the repertoire of Spanish composers such as E.Granados, I. Albeniz and others in previous years.
Francesca Cardone plays in different chamber-music ensembles. She was an accompanist of the voice classes at Souther Methodist University (Dallas, USA) from 1991 to 1995. In the following years, she has repeatedly worked with various singers. These include productions for the Salzburg Festival , for Mrs. Grace Bumbry’s studio and for the University of Miami voice-program in Salzburg (Austria), for the “Pädagogische Hochschule in Salzburg” and for the “O. Pitoni” School in Rieti (Italy).
She has a wide rage of instrumental chamber-music pieces. For various years she played in duo with clarinettist Carlo Failli and later on with clarinettist Ilia Shterenberg. In such ensembles she received first prices in various international competitions.
Her musical interests range through various musical-ensembles and all music genres. Through her activity as teacher and accompanist, previously at the American international school and currently at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Salzburg – she has investigated various musical styles including film-music, pop-music, musical and jazz.
